The Monument Hill Kiwanis Club is once again bringing the town together for the annual 4th of July Parade, set to take place Friday, July 4th, 2025. It’s one of the most beloved Independence Day events on the Front Range, attracting locals and out-of-towners alike for a festive morning of hometown pride.

Key Parade Times & Route Info

  • Main Parade Begins: 10:00 AM sharp

  • Kiddie Loop Parade: 9:30 AM – Perfect for little patriots with decorated bikes, wagons, and costumes!

🗺 Route Overview: The 2025 parade begins at Santa Fe Ave & 3rd Street, moves west through downtown, turns south onto Beacon Lite Road, then loops east on 2nd Street before circling Limbach Park and finishing near Lincoln Ave.

🚫 Parking Restrictions: There’s no public parking allowed along the parade route or in lineup areas. Vehicles in violation may be towed.

🚗 Parking & Free Shuttle Information

🅿 Park & Ride Shuttle Service:
Visitors are encouraged to park at Lewis-Palmer High School (1300 Higby Road). From there, free shuttle buses will run to downtown Monument between 7:30 AM – 9:45 AM, and return service runs 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM.

♿ ADA-accessible parking is located at 259 Beacon Lite Road.

Monument’s 4th of July Parade isn’t your average small-town event—it’s a vibrant mix of tradition, patriotism, and family fun. Expect an exciting blend of old-school charm and modern creativity:

  • 🇺🇸 Military Tributes & Flyovers: Kickoff includes a C-130 flyover by the Colorado Air National Guard, with vintage WWII aircraft soaring overhead.

  • 🐎 Rodeo Royalty: Don’t miss the Pikes Peak or Bust equestrian units riding through with flags and flair.

  • 🎖 Veterans & Service Groups: Local veteran organizations and military vehicles join the lineup in tribute to our nation’s heroes.

  • 🚙 Classic Cars & Motorcades: From hot rods to antique fire engines, there’s something for every auto enthusiast.

  • 🎭 Community Floats: Local businesses, nonprofits, youth clubs, and civic groups showcase their creativity with themed floats and patriotic décor.

  • 🐾 Animals in the Parade: Horses, dogs, and surprise furry guests add extra fun—keep an eye out for a few festive surprises!

Pro tip: Bring a chair, sunscreen, and water. Prime viewing areas fill up quickly, especially along 3rd Street and near the park!

Organizers are accepting applications for parade entries! If your group wants to join the lineup, now’s the time to register.

  • Who Can Participate: All community groups, businesses, schools, bands, classic car owners, and creative locals

  • Theme for 2025: “Scouting in America”

  • Registration Deadline: Until full — space is limited!

💡 Guidelines:
All entries must be under 35 feet and family-friendly. Candy and handouts must be hand-delivered—no throwing items from floats.

📍 Lineup Location: Old Denver Highway between Baptist Road and the Santa Fe Trailhead
🕒 Check-in Starts: 7:00 AM
🕣 All units must be in place by: 8:30 AM

After the Parade – Festivities at Limbach Park

Just because the parade ends doesn’t mean the fun stops! Head over to Limbach Park for the post-parade celebration packed with food, music, vendors, and shaded relaxation.

 

Music & Beer Garden

Set up your picnic blanket near 2nd & Front Street for:

  • Live local bands performing into the afternoon

  • Craft and domestic beer (21+ with valid ID)

  • Plenty of shade and lawn space to unwind with friends

 

Food Trucks & Street Fair

On 2nd Street near the park, discover a lively street fair with:

  • Food trucks serving tacos, pizza, BBQ, and sweet treats

  • Local artisans selling handmade goods and apparel

  • Interactive booths with games and kids’ activities
